ZIPS Dry Cleaners

B&R Engineering worked alongside L2M Architecture on the renovation and fit-out of ZIPS Dry Cleaners. The 4,000 square foot space was formerly a Bang Bang Mongolian Grill restaurant and is located in Bowie, MD. The B&R Engineering team provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design on the project in accordance with the ZIPS Franchise Brand prototype and design standards.

The work performed included, designing an HVAC system for a commercial dry cleaning retail space using a two redundant 5-ton rooftop units. The units and associated duct work was configured to work on alternating days to cool and heat the patrons front retail space. The dry cleaning work area has two exhaust fans with variable frequency drives for air exhaust modulation as well as gravity vents for fresh makeup air for the space. Stream, compressed air, hot and cold water, vent and gas pipe were routed throughout the space to
service the client’s new equipment.
